Lonely no more, with a new name...
Rosemary Farm Sanctuary is here for horses in dire need; some are saved from slaughter and some are directly from the community, like this grey arabian gelding. He was left in a field for winter, without care, but with another gelding, who succumbed to the elements in early 2017. We saw what was left of him when we rescued this boy, after a good samaritan alerted us. These situations are emotionally charged, so it's doubly important for us to gather our energy and move forward. We are including this boy's old name, whether or not he really knows it or not we aren't sure. We hope that you like one of the names and we always leave one spot available for a $500 donation if someone is particularly moved. Your caring and donations are what keeps Rosemary Farm going. Our name, Rosemary Farm Sanctuary, was chosen because we consider being a "sanctuary" our most important feature. Being a sanctuary is our gift to the horses here. We cannot welcome them all. But the ones we take in become family, and we do everything we are capable of to allow them happiness. Adoption is one possible outcome, but it is not our goal. Only a portion of our horses are available for adoption at any time, if we feel it is the best plan for the horse and the farm family. Sanctuary is our goal. Sharing with you is our goal. Trying to change a few lives for the better is our goal (which started with ours).Some of our horses are selectively available for adoption.
