We are absolutely thrilled to be welcoming 8 year old multiple graded stakes winner from Puerto Rico, MISHEGAS, and we'd like your vote! Help US rename this boy by playing the Derbyz barn name game! MISHEGAS will live out his remaining life at Unbridled Spirits, with 34 off-the-track Thoroughbreds eager to greet him. This is a great way for you to interact with naming our silly boy MISHEGAS, plus help raise funds for his lige-long care at our sanctuary. "Y'all need to stop this MISHEGAS" and help name this CHAMP! He He He! MISHEGAS (include - Peachez.N'Kreme, By Golden Missile) had a very successful racing career, which began in Southern California in the barn of Art Sherman of California Chrome Fame. After picking up two of his first three wins at Santa Anita, Mishegas continued his racing journey at Oaklawn (Ark.) and Bel mont (N.Y.), registering victories at those high profile tracks. Following his Belmont triumph, Mishegas notched his first (Grade 1) win at Camerero in Puerto Rico on July 30, 2017. The next year he added a Grade 2 victory to his resume, also at Camerero, as he ping-ponged between Puerto Rico and Gulfstream Park (Fla.) during the second half of his career. MISHEGAS ended up with 12 lifetime wins from 40 starts, earning over $386,000.00. His final race came in February of this year, after which he was retired to Puerto Rico's only after care organization, Caribbean Thoroughbred Aftercare.Unbridled Spirits Thoroughbred Sanctuary
